Close to Christmas

I’m a crafter, I love to make gifts which all my family knows, much to their chagrin. Every year I make at least one gift for one person, not all of them so well received. So the year I announced I made gifts for everyone, there was a palpable gasp in the air!

Little did they know I had been working on patterns for a company that would become known as Foldin’ Money. My favorite design is and was the Tree! Election 2012

I don’t know about you, but during election years about this time, I get so turned off by all the political ads, good, bad or indifferent. I believe in this country and in voting as a very important right. I just wish it could all be handled differently with out all the money wasted smearing the candidates! Remember our men and women fought and died for your right to vote! Please get out there and exercise your right! If you’re not registered in Washington State go to www.myvote.wa.gov. I’m sure other states have websites similar to this.

Recently I attended a seminar that promoted teaching how to crack social networking and help your business grow. This was sponsored by a large company whose services my company currently uses so I felt this was a qualified event to attend and the speakers on the list seemed very interesting. I was very excited about all the knowledge I would gain from this all day event. Well, you know what they say, nothing is free!! EVERY speaker was only there to do a sales pitch for their book or DVD series to obtain the knowledge this seminar promised we would receive. It was an entire day of infomercials! The “free lunch” was simply cold cuts and two salads. There was no way to even make a sandwich. So, okay, I didn’t pay for it, so I guess it was worth every penny. To sum it up, I wasted an entire day there that could have been spent working on growing my company! www.foldinmoney.com
