Paper Art that has an INSTANT value: MONEYGAMI

Guest Blogger W.W. of Santa Cruz, writes:
Origami created with money (aka Moneygami) is the process of making shapes using money rather than paper. This has been done traditionally with only a single bill ($1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100) and made into complex shapes such as stars, rings and animals. These designs look really cool however, they are very intricate, time consuming and very difficult to make.

I was looking for a way to give cash gifts to my friends for birthdays, weddings and Christmas that would be unique yet easy to do. While surfing the Web I came across a company called Foldin’ Money. They make kits to easily create cash gift designs out of multiple bills into cool shapes such as a Money Cake, Money Shirt, Money Tree, Money Heart, Money Tie and many more. These kits have directions that even I (who has never done anything crafty before) can follow. The kit has templates that you fold the money around and make recognizable shapes that can be decorated to match the occasion. The best part is that you’re giving a gift that is handmade and that they will definitely enjoy spending!

Foldin’ Money Kits are a BIG win-win in my book! Be sure to check out all of their designs on www.foldinmoney.com

Life and Learn

Recently I attended a seminar that promoted teaching how to crack social networking and help your business grow. This was sponsored by a large company whose services my company currently uses so I felt this was a qualified event to attend and the speakers on the list seemed very interesting. I was very excited about all the knowledge I would gain from this all day event. Well, you know what they say, nothing is free!! EVERY speaker was only there to do a sales pitch for their book or DVD series to obtain the knowledge this seminar promised we would receive. It was an entire day of infomercials! The “free lunch” was simply cold cuts and two salads. There was no way to even make a sandwich. So, okay, I didn’t pay for it, so I guess it was worth every penny. To sum it up, I wasted an entire day there that could have been spent working on growing my company! www.foldinmoney.com
